What I notice
The sentence that does not fit the rest of the story.
I notice the contradiction. The explanation that sounds airtight until we put it next to what actually happened. The place where you are taking responsibility for somebody else’s behavior. The place where you are avoiding your own.
My work is active. I prepare before we meet. I ask focused questions. I interrupt when something important gets buried under explanation. I offer an assessment and explain the reasoning behind it. I give you something you can examine, use, question, and return to after the consultation ends.
Two decades of work with women
You Can, Women began in 2006.
I founded You Can, Women in 2006. That became the beginning of two decades of work with women through communities, retreats, events, and private spaces.
Those rooms taught me that listening matters. They also taught me that a woman may need help seeing what she is too close to see, examining what is actually happening, and leaving with something she can use.
Who works well with me
Sharp women. Self-aware women. Women willing to examine the case they have built for themselves.
Women who expect to be treated like adults. Women who can hear something direct, push back when it does not fit, and stay in the room long enough to find out what is actually true.
You can disagree with me. Correct me. Use part of what I offer. Reject the rest. My responsibility is the integrity of the work I provide. Your life stays yours.
